Victoria International Chalk Festival

Posted in blog

It’s monday and my fingers are sore from the Weekend’s ‘Victoria International Chalk Festival‘. I drew my dog, 8 feet tall, along with the Wolf Spirit moon totem. Being brand new to chalk posed it’s challenges, but I rolled with it and learned a lot and am excited for next year’s festival, where I’ll have a better idea what to compose to suit the medium and the pebbly surface.

Government Street was closed to vehicle traffic until Sunday night at 9 pm. I’m going to swing by my site on my way to Life Drawing tonight to see what state my drawing is in. Temporary art makes me a little uncomfortable, but is also a good reminder to not take it too seriously.

Here are some process shots.
