Pleased to design for Driftwood Brewery’s second beer of a 100% local malt series. The base malt is an artisan barley that is grown and malted on the Saanich Peninsula. On the label, I was asked to illustrated three fellows harvesting barley with traditional tools. There’s a great sense of atmosphere and subtle movement in the field that settles out calmly over the ocean and Coastal mountains.
