Last month during a conversation with Jamie of Mitchell’s Soups, he mentioned that the Duncan Farmer’s Market was looking for a rebrand of their current unfocused brand. A happy customer of Margaret Hanson Design Co., he had already suggested they contact me. Pleased to expand into this area, and to tap further into the richness of the Cowichan Valley, I was excited when my phone rang with the proposition. Meetings led to concept proposals, which took some fine tuning as everyone on the board had their own ideas and felt strongly about their reflection in the logo. Soon though, the final concept was agreed on; a rich basket chock full of Cowichan bounty and landscape. Everyone on the board is pleased with the final rendition, what a feat! Colour me proud.
The logo has been manufactured on sandwich boards, pointing pedestrian and vehicle visitors to the year round market. The Market will also be ordering canvas bags with the logo screen-printed.
