Proudly presenting Driftwood’s newest beer! Margaret was called in to develop this latest brand. Desired imagery and feel was that of ‘floral green’ hops just ripe and ready for harvest. The landscape references the topography of the farm, as well as the graphic lines of the original Driftwood Logo. There was a bit to be learned on the nature of hops; how they grow and their optimum colour were just two of the happily absorbed lessons. This label is featuring hand drawn typography, original illustrations, and a restricted, carefully analogous colour palette.
Here’s the write up from the bottles: “This “wet-hopped” IPA can only be brewed once a year, during hop harvest. Brewed with fresh Centennial hops from BC’s own Sartori Cedar Ranch hop farm south of Chilliwack, the fresh, un-dried hop flowers are pulled from the vines and raced back to our brewery where they are immediately used in this celebration BC hops! This ale clocks in at a healthy 66 IBU’s; beware!”
Also this is the debut of the embossed bottles. A while back Driftwood asked for a simplified version of their logo to be moulded into the bottles. Looks Great!
Cheers Everyone!

Hi Margaret,
Excellent work on the design! I thought it was appropriately evocative of what I experienced tasting the beer and it nicely matches the style of Driftwood’s other labels.
Did you taste the beer? Did you like it?
Hi Rick, Thanks so much! I LOVE Sartori. We bought a case and a few, and need some more. Love it!
Margaret, like I mentioned today, I cetainly love your work and particularly the Sartori label design! I loved the beer and think the label design certainly leaves a strong visual of what the beer represents! Nice work!
absolutely beautiful
Nice design! Now to find a bottle…
Thanks! — and oops, I think you’re going to have a hard time finding one. It was a limited release due to the availability of fresh hops. Went fast!
